Abstract

This research aims to examine the factors that influence students academic fraud behavior during Covid-19 pandemic by using the combinaton of fraud pentagon theory and theory of planned behavior which consists of attitude toward the behavior, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, pressure, opportunity and arrogance. This research also using religiousity as moderating variable. The methods used in the present study are quantitative method by distributing online questioner. The sample of this research is 204 accounting students from universities in Indonesia. The results of this research provide empirical evidence that attitude toward the behavior, perceived behavioral control, pressure, opportunity and arrogance have positive significant effect to students intention to engage in academic fraud, whereas subjective norms did not influnce. This research also found that students intention to engage in academic fraud have positive significant effect to actual academic fraud. This research also explain that religiousity as moderating variable can moderate the effect of attitude and subjective norms to students intention.
