Abstract

The term of work family synergy emerges as a more positive term than work family conflict. It focuses on how office and home matters are compatible. Understanding the antecedent and consequences of work family synergy will make managers understand how to manage those aspects. This article explores a few antecedents to work family synergy and the influence of work family synergy to affective commitment and job satisfaction. 269 employees from various organization participated in this research. This research found several results. First, work role ambiguity has negative influence to work family synergy. Second, work role conflict and work time demand has no influence to work family synergy. Third, work family synergy has positive influence to job satisfaction. Fourth, work family synergy has positive influence to affective commitment. Fifth, Affective commitment has positive influence to job satisfaction.
