Abstract
This study discusses the effect of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) on firm value moderated by profitability in banking in 2018 to 2021 on the main board of the Indonesian stock exchange. Good Corporate Governance (GCG) is proxied by managerial ownership and the proportion of independent commissioners. Firm value is measured by Tobin's q while profitability uses return on assets. Samples taken in this study used the "purposive sampling" method and obtained 22 companies from 2018 to 2021 so that the data obtained were processed as much as 88 data. Data processing was utilizing SPSS 25 and EViews 12 application. The results of this study indicated that managerial ownership, independent commissioners, managerial ownership moderated by profitability, and the proportion of independent commissioners moderated by profitability on firm value do not have effect.
